Seasons Greetings from the Wessex Regionalists - the Party for Wessex.
With the rise of regionalism in other parts of England, a sense of positivity across the Tamar from our friends in Mebyon Kernow, and increased interest in the Wessex Regionalists as a serious political voice, the party can approach 2016 with great optimism.
In addition to increased interest in the party the last couple of months has seen a wave of activity. This includes a relaunched website, a new facebook page and new leaflets in the pipeline for early next year. In addition to this, Party President, Colin Bex, was in Paris for the Climate Change conference, and there is commitment to contest the Eastville ward in May's Bristol City Council elections, where Nick Xylas has been selected to represent the party.
As a small party we do not underestimate the huge task that lays ahead of us in challenging the Westminster parties as well as what many describe as ideological assaults on the people by the Tory government. However the party is in a unique position as being the only party that will deliver social, economic and environmental justice, but on top of this much needed devolution to the region and improving the whole democratic process.
Once again we wish you greetings of the season, and if you are thinking of making a New Year's resolution, why not consider making one for Wessex by joining the Party of Wessex. Click HERE for details on becoming involved
