From Monday 7 December, the Wessex Standard will be seen widely - flying among the flags of nation-states in PARIS-Le Bourget next week in the run up to the public direct-action on Saturday 12 December, to signal the end of the Conference des Nations (dis)Unie sur les Changement Climatiques.
(COP21- CMP11 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, UNFCCC).
Possibly the only discrete representation from a world region rather from nations around the world, the Wessex Regionalists' voice will be heard loud and clear demanding policies to ensure a maximum temperature-rise of less that 2 degrees global warming, and adequate funding to protect all territory throughout the eight counties of Wessex - both coastal and inland (especially the Somerset Levels) now permanently threatened by effects of climate change.
Coincidentally and in parallel we will be drawing attention to consequences of the insane and chronic cycle of genocide, murder, mayhem and destruction promoted and perpetrated by the reactionary and unrepresentative vote to invade Syria by a Grand Coalition of inmates ensconced in the asylum of Britain's government at Westminster.
Encouraged and supported by their counterparts in America, Russia, and by centralised diktat by corporate behemoths financial and commercial around the world -
all are hell-bent on exacerbating their personal exclusive race with global warming by a combination of further massacre and destabilsation of world population, and by axeing funds for low-carbon and zero-carbon construction and technology, for financial gain to feed the habit of the recidivist psychopaths responsible.
Is it small wonder that most want an alternative to this? Albeit also insane - emergence of a new Caliph for a Muslim World alternative is an ineluctable consequence.
Bulletins and images of experiences in Paris will be dispatched during the week under the rubric 'Wessex in Paris'.
